The Impact
How the proposed plan impacts our students, staff, and community for decades to come.
Providing adequately-sized spaces to serve all students and staff is the best long-term solution for the district. Having right-sized and improved spaces would positively impact students from Early Childhood through grade 12.
Improving our Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems increases the indoor air quality in our school. Studies show that improved air quality and ventilation promote student learning and overall well being.
Improving safety and security is critical to keeping our students and staff safe. Creating a dedicated, secure entrance and relocating the main office to the perimeter of the building ensures our students and staff remain safe while in our building.
Providing additional gymnasium space will make a positive impact on our district. Creating right-sized spaces for physical education and activities will provide additional opportunities for athletics. In addition, this space will provide a new weight room and locker rooms for home and visitors.
Restroom improvements will positively impact our students. Improving our restrooms and providing additional bathrooms will allow students to use them during pass times.
Providing additional space to support Career and Technical Education (CTE) offers expanded hands-on opportunities for our students to learn and find potential careers. Currently, our district has space to only provide woodworking curriculum. With an expanded CTE space, students would be given opportunities to explore curriculums including metals, robotics, small engines, and welding.
